I am going to write shortly here, to show my excitement for the upcoming Ubud Writers and Readers Festival (UWRF) which will be held on October 6 – 10, 2010.
This year’s theme is Bhinneka Tunggal Ika: Harmony in Diversity. You can sense the diversity of writers and their genres if you can make it to the festival this year. I’ve been googling the invited writers and I am thrilled! There are many writers that I want to meet, such as: Thomas Michael Kennealy who wrote Schindler’s Ark, which then well-known as the Schindler’s List movie!
I went to the 2007 UWRF and I fell in love instantly with this festival. Unfortunately, I could not make to the 2008 and 2009 festivals. But I am wishing to make it this year!
Are you coming as well? You won’t regret it for sure!
Thanks for the mention! We share your excitement about the line up for this year’s Festival. Hope you can join us for it all!
best,
The UWRF Team
i think i will join this year, after several year failed. this topic is really interesting. i wanna know the idea of facing diversity in this world, not only in indonesia. for me we are as indonesian maybe common with different culture or religion, but still in some level we are as a human cant directly manage the diversity itself or at least need times to adapt or learn about that. And I’m so eager to discuss from the writer’s point of view. Greeting-Resky
Hi, Resky …
Yes, you better manage this year, because the writers are just amazing! Do you like to write yourself? Maybe we can discuss about your pieces too!
All the best!
…. and you’ll miss my birthday bash along with special performances by Mariah Carey T__T
