Yesterday was my 28th birthday. No party thrown, just a birthday lunch. But, that celebration was more than enough for me. My family was there and many of my relatives. I do not know why I did not invite any if my friends, but I felt more into celebrate my day with family and relatives. I guess that’s age factor!
One thing for sure is I am such a blessed person. I’ve got so many sms, phone calls and emails. It made me realize that so many people out there are care about me. They remember my big day and most of all – they pray and wish for all the best things for me! I don’t want to sound so self-centered, but that’s how I feel.
I even got presents from them. My cousin gave me a book that I have been wanting for so long, ‘The Kite Runner’ by Khaled Hosseini. My other cousin gave me a very nice diary (I think she knows that I always need such thing to help me organize my thoughts). My sister-in-law gave me a nice square-pattern shirt. And my ex-roommate gave me a sweet bag. How awesome!
I just want to say thank you for all of you who have been so nice to remembering my 28th birthday. I keep on telling myself that age is a matter of numbers. The most important thing is how to be mature, which means how to be responsible for my life and my loved ones. I am still learning on how to understand the things that had happened and may happen in my life, all those stormy days and the sunny days too! I also learn on how to share love and affections to others. That’s one thing that I have to be thankful for in my birthday. I had forgotten on how to feel such a feeling, but now I learn to keep the sparks on.
So, have a blessed day everyone!
